Welcome to NoorAI: Quran & Islamic Guide ("NoorAI", "the App", "we", "our", or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.

By using NoorAI, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information You Provide Directly

• Junab AI Chat Input: When you use Junab AI, the text or voice messages you type or speak are processed to generate responses. We do not permanently store your individual chat conversations on our servers. Conversations may be cleared by you at any time.
• Speech Input: If you use voice input for Junab AI, audio is converted to text on-device or via the device's speech recognition service. We do not record or store raw audio.
• Promo Codes: If you enter a promotional code, it is verified against our database without storing personally identifiable information.

3.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for diagnostics and crash reporting.
• Usage Data: General feature usage patterns (which screens are visited, frequency of use) collected in anonymized, aggregated form.
• Crash Reports: Anonymized error and crash data to improve app stability.

3.3 Location Information

The app requests access to your device location solely to calculate the Qibla direction. Location data is used in real time and is not stored, transmitted to our servers, or shared with third parties.

Location permission is optional. You may deny it and the Qibla feature will be unavailable.

3.4 Purchase Information

Payment transactions are processed by Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment card details. We may receive confirmation of purchase status (active, expired, cancelled) through RevenueCat and Google Play Billing to verify your subscription.

3.5 Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number unless you contact us directly.
• We do not collect biometric data.
• We do not build personal profiles or sell your data to advertisers.

4. Junab AI — Specific Data Practices

Junab AI is our built-in Islamic artificial intelligence assistant. Because AI features involve processing user input, we want to be fully transparent.

How Junab AI works:

• Your messages are sent to an AI processing service to generate Islamic guidance responses.
• Messages are processed in real time to produce answers.
• NoorAI does not retain your Junab AI conversation history on our servers beyond the active session.
• You can clear your local chat history at any time from within the app.

What Junab AI does NOT do:

• It does not store personally identifiable conversations linked to your identity.
• It does not use your conversations to train AI models without your explicit consent.
• It does not share your queries with advertisers or third-party marketing services.
• It does not access your contacts, photos, files, or other apps.

Voice Input for Junab AI:

Voice input uses your device's built-in speech recognition (e.g., Google Speech Services on Android). This is subject to Google's own privacy policy. NoorAI does not receive or store the raw audio recording.

6. Advertising

The free version of NoorAI may display advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use device identifiers (such as the Advertising ID) to serve relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time through your device settings:

NoorAI Premium subscribers do not see advertisements.

7. Data Storage and Security

• App settings and preferences (such as tashkeel on/off, language selection) are stored locally on your device using secure device storage.
• Subscription status and promo code validation data stored in Firebase Firestore are protected using Firebase security rules and Google Cloud security standards.
• All data transmitted between the app and external services is encrypted in transit using secure connections (HTTPS/TLS).
• We implement industry-standard security measures to protect any data we process.

8. Children's Privacy

NoorAI is suitable for general audiences including families and children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK).

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us at noorai.support@gmail.com and we will promptly delete that information.

The Junab AI feature is designed to provide Islamic guidance only. It does not engage in inappropriate content and is monitored to ensure safe, appropriate responses for all ages.

9. Your Rights and Choices

All Users:

• Clear your Junab AI chat history at any time within the app.
• Revoke location permission at any time through device settings.
• Opt out of personalized ads through device settings.
• Uninstall the app, which removes all locally stored data.

EU / EEA / UK Users (GDPR):

• Right to access any personal data we hold about you.
• Right to rectification of inaccurate data.
• Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten").
• Right to restrict or object to processing.
• Right to data portability.

California Users (CCPA):

• Right to know what personal information is collected.
• Right to delete personal information.
• Right to opt out of the sale of personal information. (We do not sell personal information.)
